Small goods
Small Goods is a San Diego–based cheese shop, deli, and café with an all-American, neighborhood feel. The goal of this project was to create a logo and visual identity that feels minimal, playful, and approachable, using thick, hand-drawn line work inspired by New York Times–style illustration.
The final concept features three farm animals — a sheep, cow, and goat — each representing a different type of cheese sold in the shop. The animals were illustrated with simplified, organic forms to emphasize warmth and approachability. Paired with bold, rustic typography, the identity reflects Small Goods’ farm-to-table roots and welcoming personality. This project explores how the logo and illustrations could live across real-world brand applications, specifically apparel.

The project included Logo design, illustrated animal, characters (sheep, cow, goat), and T-shirt mockups. Visual research focused on natural body shapes and proportions to create authentic, expressive animal forms.

"Delaney consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to design exploration, approaching each challenge with curiosity, originality and a thoughtful creative process.
