From Antarctic Ice to California Kelp Forests is a motion design project that animates the worlds of Emperor Penguins and Monterey Sea Otters with refined cinematic storytelling and professional-grade animation. The client’s goal was to create an engaging, educational experience that presents wildlife information in a visually striking and easily accessible format, while also enhancing brand credibility through exceptional production values. This project bridges two distinct ecosystems—Antarctica’s frozen expanses and California’s vibrant kelp forests—highlighting environmental diversity within a unified narrative. The scope encompassed concept development, narrative structuring, character animation, environmental design, motion graphics, scene transitions, and final delivery tailored for digital platforms. Designed with clarity and deliberate pacing, the animations balance scientific accuracy with stylized visuals to keep audiences captivated. Created using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator, the final piece expertly merges educational impact with cinematic artistry, resulting in a polished and memorable viewing experience.
